These terms cover playing Beam Drip on Reddit, and buying the optional extras in the beam shop.
Beam Drip runs inside Reddit and needs a Reddit account. Reddit's User Agreement and minimum age requirements apply to that account, and to playing the game.
The game is free to play. There is no subscription, no paywall and no limit on how much you can play.
The beam shop sells extra beam skins and two additional worlds for Reddit gold. These are optional. Two of them — the Aura beam and the Titan world — can also be earned by playing. These are clearly labeled as options so there is no confusion.
Reddit takes the payment, not Beam Drip. Purchases are made with Reddit gold through Reddit's own purchase flow, under Reddit's Earn Terms. Beam Drip doesn't see or store card details, and holds no payment information.
What you are buying is the right to use an item inside the game. It is not a physical thing, it has no cash value, and it cannot be sold, traded or transferred to another account.
Your purchases follow you between communities. Beam Drip works out what you own by asking Reddit what you have bought, rather than keeping its own list, so buying a skin in one subreddit means owning it in every community where the game is installed. Progress and earned unlocks are separate and stay per community — the privacy page explains why.
Refunds are handled by Reddit, because Reddit took the payment. Requests go to Reddit rather than to Beam Drip.
If a purchase is refunded, access to that item ends. This is not a punishment and it is not done by hand — the game reads your Reddit order history to know what you own, so a reversed order simply stops granting the item. Anything you earned by playing is untouched.
If the game changes or new things get added, items you bought will keep working. If something is ever retired from the shop, people who already own it keep it. We don't foresee an end to Beam Drip any time soon — but if the game is ever removed from Reddit, that would end both play and access to purchases.
Each community has its own leaderboards. Publishing a score is always optional — see the privacy page — and you can remove your entry from inside the game at any time.
Entries obtained by tampering with the game, or usernames that break Reddit's rules, may be removed. That is the only circumstance in which an entry is removed by anyone other than the player who posted it.
Beam Drip teaches real science, and its facts, trivia and study guides cite primary sources — NASA, JPL, ESA and peer-reviewed journals. It is still a game, and what it cites — especially regarding Titan, Saturn's moon — is cutting-edge research that may change as study of that exotic world continues.
Beam Drip is made by one person and offered in good faith, without a warranty that it will be uninterrupted or free of faults. Reddit's platform, and your own device and connection, are outside its control.
To the extent the law allows, Beam Drip is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here replaces Reddit's own terms, which continue to apply.
If these terms change, this page changes with them and the date at the top will say when. Changes are not applied backwards to a purchase already made.
Questions about any of this can go to the moderators of r/BeamDrip. Anything about a payment, a receipt or a refund needs to go to Reddit, since Beam Drip has no access to those.
